This role is responsible for management of customer and portfolio exposure to energy markets through development of strategies and active wholesale trading, and analysing and monitoring positions to ensure that they remain in line with stated policy, strategy and budget/targets. Managing client alerts, providing support, advice and interpretation. Proactively contacting clients and having regular review meetings to discuss current market conditions, existing positions and trading strategies.

Working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running and delivery of services to customers and colleagues.
- Responsible for the position management of portfolios and customer positions
- Support clients directly with their own Risk Management or trading for them with delegated authority
- Analyses of market data, price history and fundamentals to develop potential trading strategies to support Risk Management clients
- Assist in production of market intelligence content for PR and other online content
- Highlight data requirements for the Market Intelligence team
- Participate in Risk Management Committee meetings
- Provide training to other departments when necessary
- Coordinate and liaise with other departments on customer issues when required

**Experience and Skills**
- In-depth knowledge of the wholesale energy market
- Knowledge of fundamental price analysis
- Experience of trading in UK energy markets
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Confident and articulate
- Enthusiastic and well driven, able to achieve deadlines.
- An eye for detail and a desire to achieve high standards of work.
- Reliable and trustworthy
- To be proactive in achieving objectives and meeting deadlines
- Has good problem solving skills
- Works well individually and within a team
- Be able to follow processes to ensure that the team and the company remains compliant to customer agreements

This role can be done remotely or from either of our offices in Wallington or Redditch.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
