Charity Co-ordinator

**About the opportunity**:
We are currently recruiting for a Charity Co-ordinator to join our Poundland Foundation at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall.

The Poundland Foundation currently supports a number of national charities and has a community grant programme called kits for kids. Reporting to the Foundation Manager, the Charity Co-ordinator will work to increase the income and impact of the Foundation across the UK and Ireland by working with our retail, CSC and DC teams to organise and support fundraising and weekend events.

Passion and enthusiasm are an absolute must for this role and there will be the opportunity to work with multiple charities and community groups and engage with colleagues and customers across our business.

This role is a hybrid role, based at our Customer Support Centre (CSC) in Walsall, with the ability to work between 'home' and the CSC.

This role comes with the ability to study for an apprenticeship qualification.

**What you'll be doing...**:

- Supporting with all communications, both external and internal regarding the Foundation, both printed and digital material.
- Taking ownership of engagement with colleagues -liaising with Retail, DC and CSC colleagues to organise our Foundations events, such as Race Day, Golf Days and our Big Weekenders
- Representing the Foundation at Poundland events and meetings
- Responsibility for allocating vouchers to charities and other organisations
- Providing information and data for official audits which take place once per year

**What you'll need...**:

- A passion and enthusiasm for the charity sector is essential.
- Experience within a charity fundraising environment would be desirable
- Fantastic relationship building skills with the ability to engage and motivate
- Excellent MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skills
