**The purpose of your role**:
Reporting to the Head of People within our People department. We are looking for an experienced People Advisor or someone looking for their next career move and further develop their career within HR.
We are looking for someone who can build great relationships, can independently give consistent and robust advice to managers on all matters relating to recruitment, sickness, capability, conduct and grievance and risk in line with legislation and internal policies escalating cases to the Head of People as appropriate.
**The Role**
- Provide high quality HR advice and guidance directly to managers
- Support wider HR team in implementing and embedding new strategies and initiatives
- Support the management of complex employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence this includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedures and legislation, liaising with occupational health and supporting formal investigations and hearings
- Provide written and verbal staffing reports as required such as sickness trends and retention
- Advise managers on recruitment and selection
- Supervise and work alongside People Coordinators
- Assist Head of People with any ongoing projects
**Skills and Knowledge**
- You should be CIPD level 5 qualified or studying towards
- Have a minimum of 4 years working within a HR function ideally within Private or Legal sector
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
- Experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively with a good knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation
- Ability to organise and prioritise caseload within a fast paced environment
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience of using HR system and HR management information to produce reports as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
