**Warehouse Site Manager**

**Job purpose**

This will be a start u

p operation, development and profitability of the Burton-on-Trent warehouse site on a day to day basis. Working internally with staff and the transport operations and externally with customers to improve the profitability of the site and ensure excellentcustomer service.

**Duties and responsibilities**

Responsible for the strategic direction and operational performance of the warehouse. Ensuring that high standards are attained for all activities within the warehouse, providing vision, leadership, guidance and motivation to the site direct reports.
- Responsible for day to day running of the warehouse and all operational aspects.
- Responsible for the creating improved working practices and operational productivity using the WMS.
- Responsible for engaging all team members on site to achieve daily, weekly, monthly targets and development of staff through communication and coaching.
- Key escalation and day to day contact with key customers on site
- Ensuring housekeeping standards are to a high level, including the overall site appearance.
- Achieving financial objectives and budgetary control through thorough management of the site P & L.
- Having a clear understand of the costs within the operation and the further development of profitability.
- Ensuring that customer relationships are maintained to a high standard and treated as a priority - customer service is key.
- Responsible for maintaining the current customer relationships and working with new customers through setup and implementation to steady state.
- Overall responsibility for developing the Health and Safety standards within the warehouse minimizing risk wherever possible.

**Qualifications**

Qualifications include:

- Significant warehouse operational experience
- Experience of working in the 3pl Logistics sector
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and listing skills
- Ability to work with others
- An ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to manage costs effectively
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
