We are currently recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join my client’s well-respected and established Principal Contractor business in Bishops Stortford. They specialise within the Healthcare, Education, Leisure and Blue Light sectors, so experiencewithin this industry would be advantageous.

**Working hours**:
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be required to work Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

**The successful Junior Quantity Surveyor will be offered**:

- £35,000 - £45,000
- 25 days holiday

**To be considered for the Junior Quantity Surveyor role you must have**:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience with subcontractor queries and costings
- Dry lining, carpentry or brickwork experience
- Financial experience with supply chain accounts
- Cost management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

**As a Junior Quantity Surveyor your role will involve**:

- Creating project budgets
- Producing project valuations
- Producing costings for variations
- Tracking variation accounts
- Conducting variance analysis on actual costs vs budgeted costs
- Placing sub-contractor orders
- Approving sub-contractor valuations
- Placing supplier JCT sub-contract
- Producing project cashflow forecasts
- Preparing notices under the JCT contract such as Extensions of Time
