We have a vacancy for an experienced site foreman (working) to organise the day to day running of the site and to ensure a consistently high quality of workmanship on all projects is maintained. As well as leading the team and being responsible for ensuring procedures and safe working practises are followed, the foreman will be expected to play a full role in the site work. This may include:

- Site setup, including erecting and dismantling security fencing and signage
- Excavation work for foundations or wall footings
- Concreting of foundations, footings, walls and floors
- Setting foundations and costing holding down bolts
- Flame cutting, power tool cutting, drilling steel on site
- Propping and removing existing steel sections for replacement with new
- Finishing steel fit out with paint products, such as bitumen or intumescent products
- Operating plant and machinery, such as telehandler, mini digger, roller, scissor lift or ‘cherry picker’ boom
- Stripping off existing cladding and making preparations for new cladding systems
- Completing flashing details, such as barges, doors, windows, cappings, etc
- Fitting rainwater goods and downpipes, incl galvanised, plastic and insulated gutters
- Safely loading and unloading materials from vehicles, such as lorry, trailer or customer transportation
- Ensuring safe site access for colleagues, sub-contractors, customers and the general public
- Other tasks required, as expected of an employee working for a Construction company, but not such that you would have been expected to have completed specialist training, unless training had been agreed and completed beforehand
- Experience of working in the construction industry
- Experience of erecting steel framed buildings from start to finish
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to lead a small team effectively in order to get the job done within the specified time frame
- A positive can-do attitude and good problem solving skills
- A full driving licence

Any relevant qualifications would be an advantage.

Rate of pay will be dependent upon experience.
