Cafe Cook

We are looking to recruit a Cook to join the Whitehouse Farm family in our busy kitchen.

Full time - 5 days per week

Shift Pattern - 8/8:30am - 4/4:30pm depending on peak/off peak season. Weekend and school holidays are required as well as weekday shifts

Additional shifts will be possible for those willing to be cross trained in other areas of the farm.

Duration - Permanent role (please note we are CLOSED in November and for 6 weeks from Christmas day to February)

We are passionate about delivering outstanding food for our customers, so we are looking for an experienced, confident individual to work in our busy kitchen. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment and deliver consistent, quality food.

What you will be doing;
Manage the opening and closing of the kitchen

Preparing fresh food daily - including hot home cooked meals (lasagna, mince and dumplings, quiche etc) preparing salad bar and sandwich fillings, Panini's made to order, fresh soups, hot meat sandwiches and fryer foods. Baking cakes, scones and cookies.

Ordering - maintain accurate food ordering and stock levels

Cleaning - you will be required to do the daily and deep cleaning of the kitchen. Including your own dishes, the fryers, fridges, all surfaces, freezers, floor, stock rooms.

Health and safety - you will be required to complete daily temperature checks of all fridge's and freezers, all food served, stock room's etc. Work safely around the kitchen equipment.

Kitchen experience is required, baking experience is desirable.

- You will need to be passionate about food, creative and proactive with great attention to detail
- A good team player
- Great communication skills
- Be well organised and presented
- Have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety compliance
- Have knowledge of food safety level 2+
- Must maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout
