**Lead Trading Underwriter - Salary £38,000 to £42,500 p/a**
Location - Birmingham OR Bristol

**Aviva are looking for experienced Lead Underwriters from any location nationally to join us to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business within Aviva**

**In this Lead role you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues in writing and winning more complex, higher value business, whilst maintaining a multiclass underwriter approach when dealing end to end with brokers/customers.**

**Skills and experience we're looking for**:

- Expert knowledge of Insurance and Commercial underwriting, experience of property, motor and/or liability is desirable.
- Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills.
- Analysis of risks and ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
- Excellent business development/customer engagement skills in order to influence key contacts in the marketplace.

**What you'll get for this role**:

- Starting salary between £38,000 and £42,500 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
