Overview:
We are seeking an Optical Assistant to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting optometrists and opticians in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients. **Duties**:
- Take accurate measurements of patients' eyes, including pupillary distance and lensometry readings
- Assist with contact lens fittings, adjustments, and instructions
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Order and maintain inventory of optical supplies and eyewear products
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction
**Skills**:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
**Job Type**: Part-time
Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
