Choir Coach

Sing in the City are looking for committed choir coaches to join their team.

If you like popular music from the 60s to the present day, are confident, have a good voice and outgoing personality you could be a valuable new addition to the Sing in the City team.

The main role of our coaches is to ensure our members enjoy a great 2 hours of singing, positivity and fun. To do this our coaches need to be enthusiastic, encouraging, inclusive and supportive of all ages and singing abilities.

No previous coaching experience is necessary as we can provide training.

Applicants must have a good music knowledge and be able to readily pick up harmonies. It is not essential to play an instrument as we will provide you with vocal harmony recordings plus backing tracks and notation for all songs.

Applicants must have a car and will also require an Amplifier or P.A. for backing tracks. Our choirs can range from 60-100 members, so a microphone is also essential.

We rehearse 42 weeks of the year, split into 6 or 7 terms. Our choir breaks mostly align with school holidays, with the exception of summer. Our choirs are held on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings - shifts will be for 2 hours with a tea break in the middle.

Payment will be £50 per shift on a contractor basis. Shifts can be single or multiple.

At present we are looking for coaches in Edinburgh, Fife, Lothians, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders.
