If you are an advocate for human-centred design, passionate about plain language and motivated to support others to create content for great user experiences, this Web Content Design Assistant role is for you.

**The opportunity**

It’s an exciting time to join Website and Communications as we roll out a new Web Publishing Platform, signalling a change to the way the University publishes content. The role offers the chance to collaborate with colleagues from across the University, get stuck in with designing and improving content and reinvigorating our community about what content design is and what it can achieve.

This working hours for this post are full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering requests for hybrid working that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

**What the job involves**:

- Implementing content design techniques (including auditing and testing) to ensure migrated content is of high-quality to support University website audiences
- Being an active member of a project team migrating University web content to our new platform

**A bit about you**:

- You will be a champion for human-centred design, passionate about writing and preparing high-quality user-centred content for university websites
- You will be motivated to work with our valued web publishing community to help them transition to our new platform, instilling a sense of reassurance and empowerment
- You will take a pride in helping to create great content that speaks to the needs of the people visiting our University websites and helps them complete their tasks
- You will be willing to be an active, participatory member of our migration project team, understanding what needs to be done and thinking about how you can help and support teammates.
