An overseas banking institution wish to recruit within the client onboarding team, the primary task of the role is to ensure that the KYC files progress through the correct approval chain accurately and efficiently, and in accordance with internal Compliancepolicies and procedures. The role performs the onboarding of new clients and periodic review of existing clients with the aim of ensuring that the bank meets all of its legal and regulatory responsibilities in connection with all KYC matters.

**Main Duties**

Adhering to internal Compliance policies and external regulatory requirements in the completion of KYC files

Performing KYC on both onboarding and periodic review files

Obtaining client due diligence documentation from Corporate Banking, Financial Institution and Treasury Relationship Managers

Providing guidance to RMs and key stakeholders on KYC requirements

Conducting a risk-based analysis on prospective (or existing) clients according to current KYC guidelines and standards

Using external screening systems (World-Check, Factiva) for PEP screening and adverse media checks

Preparing reports and analysis for Compliance as and when required (e.g. Financial Crime Risk Assessment ("FCRA’’) forms, PEP assessment forms

**Experience Required**

Sound knowledge of the UK KYC regulatory environment

Solid KYC experience within a financial institution, with good understanding of KYC requirements for various client types (including private companies and financial institutions, SPVs, trusts)

Experience with conducting KYC on higher risk financial services products and services (for example, trade finance or correspondent banking)

Experience with conducting KYC on clients domiciled in High risk jurisdictions
