Credit Controller

Mitigate risk and maximise profits by overseeing the company's available credit and ensuring credit issued by the company is paid in full and on time.

**The responsibilities, tasks and outputs of the job**:

- Set up new customer accounts and agree payment terms
- Undertake credit assessments of new customers
- Monitor credit agreements of existing customers
- Negotiate payment plans
- Collection of arrears
- Continuously improve the debt collecting process for the benefit of the company and the customer
- Process payments
- Resolve customer queries, liaising with internal departments where necessary
- Analyse and report on company financial activity

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience in a similar position
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills

**Desirable criteria**:

- A relevant level 3 qualification
- Experience of accounts receivable
- Experience of reconciling month end accounts
