On behalf of our blue chip client based in Crewe we are urgently looking for a Parts Advisor to join their dynamic team on a full time basis.

The purpose of the role is to manage the inventory based on demand and cost targets. To maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repairs to be complete without delay. Responsible for ensuring that the stocks are maintained at an agreed stock level and all relating paperwork completed on time and in full.

**Responsibilities and Objectives**
- Ensure that a robust process for the issuing of parts is always followed and any nonconformances are identified and reported on.
- Be responsible for the accurate receipt of all inward stock.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum availability at lowest inventory value.
- Manage external supplier relationships.
- Work with the VMU manager to leverage procurement spend by regular benchmarking and negotiation.
- To ensure the profitability and efficiency of the stores department
- To provide the following physical functions:

- Goods Inwards and stock put away
- Stock retrieval and picking
- Stock allocation to fitters/technicians
- Movement of stock within the store
- Perpetual inventory counts
- Plan and manage the annual stock take process to ensure that all stock is counted and all variances between system and physical counts are investigated fully.
- Take responsibility for obsolescent stock management and minimise liability. Maximise impress stock opportunities,
- Ensure that POs are raised for all orders.
- Effective communications with all suppliers relating to queries of stock management.
- Ensure that all returns are completed in a timely manner, ensuring that stock levels are updated in a timely manner.
- Complete relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety standards and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service with a proactive attitude.
- Operate relevant MHE (if applicable / permitted & authorised) safely and in accordance with the correct procedures.
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with accident reporting procedure.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Uniform Guidelines and Health and Safety Policy
- Carry out other relevant reasonable management requests as required by your Line Manager and/or other Directors/Managers within the company.

**Duties**
- Co-operate with your employer to enable any legal obligations to be complied with

- Bring to the attention of your line manager any perceived short comings in health and safety arrangements, situations or processes that you consider to be serious, or which may present danger to you or others
- Do not undertake or request others to undertake any works for which you/they do not hold the required competency or authority to undertake, or use equipment not trained or authorised to use
- Where your role involves the control, administration and/or handling of food product you must ensure that product safety, legality and quality systems are always adhered to.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.

**Document Issue and Access Requirements**
- Access to relevant paper and electronic medium references required to confirm compliance and continuous improvement.

**Must have**
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience with stock control using computerised systems
- Excellent communication and high-level customer service skills
- Organised and methodical
- Must be physically active due to the nature of the role, dealing with heavy goods.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of inventory databases

The Salary for this role in negotiable but is looking to start between 27-30k with overtime at x1.5 working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a start of 6am daily.
