We're searching for an experienced and delivery focussed Scrum Master to join OVO's Tech Delivery department. Our mission is to design, build, and ensure an ever-greened estate for products that can be delivered at speed, and at enterprise scale.

**This role in a nutshell**:
The Scrum Master will operate as a change agent, with a passion for working with people and teams, to help them reach their best and grow the business.

They'll develop the team's understanding of Agile frameworks, Transformation Principles and Practices (TP&Ps), evolving their ways of working to true self-management. We are ambitious and want to continuously improve how we deliver change with value, more quickly, and at a sustainable pace.

In Tech Delivery, we believe a learning culture is important. We continuously strive to improve your knowledge and skills in the role. There will be sponsorship from your Head of Delivery to grow our Scrum Master cohort, and encouragement to contribute to the existing Agile community; sharing knowledge and great practice.

**Your key outcomes will be to**:

- **Support and coach** the Team to understand and utilise Agile frameworks (Scaling, Scrum, Kanban etc) and Agile events (Scrum of Scrums, PI planning, retrospectives etc) to understand the value and purpose of them, and create cohesive Epics and Stories that align to the business OKRs.
- **Help** the Product Manager to manage an effective Product Backlog and Product Roadmaps.
- **Guide teams** to break work into small, discrete pieces of value or learning.
- **Act as a lighthouse** in the principles of refinement, prioritisation, partner engagement and introducing tools and techniques.
- **Empower** squads to self-manage, utilise feedback for continuous learning and improvement in efficient and incremental value delivery.
- **Narrate and visualise** the optimal sequence of work, measure and understand their performance through metrics (throughput, cycle time, happiness etc) and use this as the basis for their improvement activity.
- **Promote psychological safety** and wellbeing creating a safe, trusting, and open environment for the team.
- **Bring** a learning/curious attitude, energy, and enthusiasm for creative disruption.

**You'll be a successful Scrum Master at OVO if you **: Knowledge and understanding of frameworks such as the Scrum, Kanban, Lean and SaFE with practical experience of working in Agile environments.

Shows knowledge and some experience of other techniques that support Agile working, such as Dev(Sec)Ops, Lean, System Thinking, Queueing Theory, Complex Adaptive systems, Theory of Constraints / Critical Chain.Demonstrates knowledge, understanding, and experience working with TP&Ps.Scrum Master Certification - PSM1 or equivalent is desirable.Experience in coordinating sprint reviews/planning, backlog refinement, retrospective meetings and daily stand ups.Experience of managing projects and backlogs in tools such as Confluence and JIRA, Monday and Project Board, to an extent that you can support teams in identifying patterns and track progress across a Portfolio.Experience in setting up and managing multiple scrum teams, as well as helping existing teams reach a higher level of maturity.Ability to inspire change within the team and demonstrate methods of continuous improvement to accelerate speed to market.
- Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management programme with guidance from a project/programme manager.
