Chester, United Kingdom Da Noi Chester Full time

**Da Noi Chester **is an independent, traditional Italian restaurant consolidating as one of the best in the North of England after its opening in 2018.

The restaurant is located in the very heart of Chester (on Bridge Street) and is the first venture of the team behind **Augusto Pizzeria** and **Krum Gelato**.

Our Executive Chef Valentina Aviotti has led the growth of the reputation of the restaurant over the last years and Da Noi has been included in the Michelin Guide since 2019, the year after its inception. We recently changed our proposition and now serve seasonal tasting menus based on the Italian heritage and tradition alongside a completely Italian wine list and drinks list.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for passionate and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. A person who will take pride in sharing our experience and keeping Da Noi at the top of the list of places in the North where this is delivered.

Desirable skills we would like you to have:

- A minimum experience in similar restaurants is a plus
- Confidence, willingness to learn, ability to communicate
- Feel comfortable to work on your own, but equally enjoy working with your colleagues in a nice and relaxed environment.

It's a great offer for anyone who wants to become a member of one of the most popular Italian brands/groups and at the same time showcase their skills and be involved in a professional working environment.

**Job brief**

We are looking for someone to support Chef Valentina in daily activities in the kitchen. This is an entry-level job to start with but if you’re good and proactive at it, you’ll be invaluable in making sure our product is delivered at the best specification.

The initial responsibilities will include preparation work like cutting vegetables, weighing elements for a dish for the chef and other small jobs. This will gradually progress in taking on more responsibilities and in simple cooking operations and preparations.

All training will be provided and steps explained by the Chef. If you think you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you’ll help our kitchen adhere to health standards and serve customers in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organized
- Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
- Gradually small preparations and cooking responsibilities alongside the Chef

**Requirements**:

- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
- Patience and cool-headedness
- In return for your commitment we offer a competitive salary, reasonable working hours and, hopefully, job satisfaction & fun times.
- Qualifications:_
- Previous experience in a similar restaurant environment is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in a team setting

**What’s in there for you?**
- Company’s discount scheme
- Flexible working hours
- Opportunity for progression within the group

If you think you have got what we need, then we want to hear from you

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £10.50 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Company pension

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 2 years (preferred)
