**Location**

The role is based in our Horsham and is Hybrid working (min 2 days in the office with Thursday each week as an anchor day)

To contribute to the growth of the Branch income by the agreed % each year

**Overall Objectives**
- To service and administer a portfolio of commercial insurance clients in a timely, professional, compliant and cost-effective manner
- To identify and convert growth opportunities from referrals, cross-selling, new client sourcing and proactive sales activity
- To build effective working relationships with both clients, insurers and service
- To work and operate within a team environment for the benefit of both the client and the business

**The Duties of the Role**
- Follow agreed company, regulatory and industry processes and protocols to deliver compliant solutions when administering clients
- Use the most appropriate form of communication to fully understand client requirements and to deliver effective and timely outcomes
- Monitor workloads effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved or managed appropriately
- Preparation of clear presentations to Insurers / use of online portals for new and renewal clients
- Fully understand your clients’ needs, to identify cross sell and up sell opportunities
- Build strong client relationships to create client referrals and identify new opportunities for growth
- Utilise in house tools and facilities to develop your portfolio
- Take time to get to know your clients to strengthen relationships
- Actively engage with insurers and suppliers to understand their offering and how they can best support and service clients’ needs
- Be flexible in manging you time and workflow to ensure customer service excellence is prioritised
- Active engagement in company initiatives
- Collaborate with and support colleagues as required or requested
- Develop skills and knowledge through Continual professional development and actively managing your training plan
- Ensure that any clients with whom you deal are treated fairly at all times

**Main knowledge/understanding required**:

- **Intermediate**: the main classes of commercial insurance transacted by the Department; insurance market practice; principles of insurance; the main methods controlling/reducing insurance risk; the company’s procedures and rules and, to the extent it relates to the job, regulation and compliance. Knowledge of Acturis would be useful but is not essential.
- **Basic**; health and safety. Internet; Microsoft Word; Teams, Outlook and Excel.
