We are currently looking for Quarry Operatives to join our team based at our Carnsew site.

Main Responsibilities
**A Quarry Operative in Cornwall is responsible for performing various mobile plant duties and additional manual tasks in a granite quarry environment.**:
**The Quarry Operative will work as part of a team to ensure that all operations are efficient, effective, and safe.**:
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operating heavy machinery, such as loading shovels, excavators, and dump trucks, to extract and move minerals within the quarry.
- Clearing and preparing the quarry site for extraction operations, including removing debris and waste materials.
- Monitoring and maintaining the safety of the quarry site, including ensuring that the machinery and equipment is properly maintained.
- Loading and unloading minerals from trucks, using the site mobile plant.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the quarry site, including repairing and maintaining equipment and facilities under supervision where necessary.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure that extraction operations are efficient and effective.

You must be confident, driven, and flexible in your approach to this role, with excellent time management skills whilst being committed to continuously improving yourself and your team.
