What you'll bring to the team:
Join us as a **Senior Finance Business Partner**, driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making for our Digital and Data leadership team. Manage and optimise both business-as-usual and transformation budgets (£45m and £65m for 2024), ensuring robust financial control and governance.

You will act as a strategic advisor to the Digital and Data (D&D) leadership team, managing and optimising significant budgets. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive financial insights, enhancing performance measurement tools, and driving monthly forecasting accuracy. You will lead cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives, ensuring strong financial control and compliance with Merlin's guidelines. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative and motivated finance team, driving continual improvement and alignment with D&D transformation goals.

Key competencies required for this role include establishing credibility as a financial expert and providing strategic recommendations to enhance business performance. You must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions in uncertain conditions. Effective communication is essential, as you'll need to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. Additionally, you should be a catalyst for change, capable of identifying necessary changes and driving their implementation while fostering strong partnerships and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree educated and ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
- Proven business partnering experience, ideally in a consumer-facing organisation with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience in a Shared Service environment.
