Electrical Test Technician - Cumbria - 6 month rolling contract
(Mon-Thurs working week)
Reports to: Production Manager
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Test Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of producing high-quality products. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing piece parts, sub-assemblies,and final products in line with company processes and quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Establish and prepare mechanical, electrical, and optical test equipment and jigging in accordance with associated documentation to ensure accuracy of test and prevention of damage to goods.
Undertake testing of components and finished products, utilizing appropriate test equipment and resources, following approved test documentation, interpreting recorded results to ensure they are fit for purpose and fully comply with the company's and customer'sspecifications.
Create and complete accurate structured test logs/reports ensuring all applicable data is collected and recorded as required.
Accurately receive items into inventory, noting and understanding the significance of inventory transactions and their wider impact within the business.
Inspect parts to drawings, conduct Goods Inwards Inspections and undertake final conformance dimensional and visual inspections.
Complete detailed quality documentation, including test reports and non-conformance reports as required by the Company and specified by external customers.
Maintain QC test equipment; performing calibration tasks as and when required, ensuring faults are reported to line management immediately.
Organize calibration of equipment as required with external, approved suppliers.
Report product faults and failures to key stakeholders in a timely fashion, providing relevant technical detail to aid their resolution in order that product can be retested and the effectiveness of corrective actions confirmed.
Plan own workload in accordance with departmental priorities ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources, adherence to deadlines, and the reporting of progress to key stakeholders.
Achieve and maintain IPC-A-610 inspection certification.
Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment in order to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
5 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English.
NC/BTEC in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
Relevant experience in a quality control role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
IPC-A-610 inspection qualification desirable.
**Experience**:
Detailed experience of working in an ISO 9001 or Regulated environment desirable.
Knowledge of AS 9100 is desirable.
Several years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing environment desirable.
Experience of using electrical test equipment and reading and understanding detailed drawings is essential.
Experience of using an ERP system desirable.
Additional Skills:
Strong teamwork background.
Ability to deal with a pressurized environment.
Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
