**_Position - KITCHEN ASSISTANT - BANK _**

**Job Summary**

Ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen/storage areas are of the highest standard which complies with the requirements of Health and Safety and environmental health regulations, the cleaning and storage of all kitchen utensils, crockery, pots and pans etc, assist the cook in preparation of meals following safe food regulations.

**General Duties**

1. Cleaning the kitchen/food storage area as laid down by the cook.

2. Cleaning and storage of all kitchen equipment including pot and pans, crookery etc.

3. Safe cleaning of heated food cabinets and following a daily/weekly cleaning rota.

4. Carry out kitchen procedures using safe working regulations relevant to kitchen equipment.

5. Assist the cook in the preparation of meals and food related tasks, such as catering and or associated duties from time to time.

6. Be aware of the following;
a) Health and Safety at Work Policy

b) Fire Regulations and Procedures used in an emergency situations

c) Dangers in a kitchen environment

d) Procedures of incidents/accidents in the kitchen/store room.

e) Standards of personal hygiene and dress.

7. Ensure confidentiality is adhered to at all times.

To fully protect staff and service users in our care home group from the risks associated with the coronavirus pandemic our care homes will comply fully with the Covid-19 vaccination programme for the UK. Any new recruits must either have both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the 11th November 2021 or medical exemption certificate refusal to comply will result in no employment process taking place.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £4.81-£9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
