**Role**: Palliative Care Assistant - Community

**Hours**:30 hours per week (10 hours per night, worked as part of a 7 day service)

**Salary**:Band 2 £21,311 - £21,982 per annum Pro rata

**Location**: Compton, Wolverhampton

In delivering our mission Compton Care is proud of our standing at the forefront in providing care and support through several dedicated but also interlinked service including our inpatient unit, community care, our living well centre, and supportive care services.

Compton Care are looking to recruit experienced Palliative Care Assistants Nights to provide one to one care. You will be providing care and support for patients within their usual place of care.

You will be there to offer specialist knowledge, expertise and support to the patient are carer, enabling the patient to stay in their home if that is there wish by helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.

**Essential Criteria**
- Care certificate or a willingness to work towards during induction
- The ability to work alone and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Car owner/driver with a clean UK driving licence
- As real passion and commitment to proving high quality palliative and end of life care
- An ability to place the patient at the heart of all actions
- The ability to receive and share learning with colleagues
- The ability to recognise and report risk
- The ability to work flexibly
- The ability to use IT such as Word and Excel
