Commissioning Officer

**The job itself**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Commissioning & Intelligence Team for a Commissioning Officer. The Commissioning and Intelligence Team is a dynamic, rewarding, and fast paced environment which undertakes the planning, design and commissioning of adult social care in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, who is comfortable with large data sets and has excellent IT skills, with particular reference to Excel.

**The Role**:
Key elements are:

- Developing consistent and reliable approaches to the collection and validation of data in respect of adult social care and related health commissioning activity
- Producing accurate and timely information on adult social care activities for senior management and external partners
- Analysis of data to provide routine information to meet the needs of adult social care
- Contribution to the timely and accurate completion of returns and other internal and external reporting

You will:

- be a self-motivated and an enthusiastic individual
- have a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure
- be an experienced computer user (both Microsoft Office Packages and database systems)
- have the ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets
- have the ability to develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- possess a practical and logical approach to problem solving
- be able to respond to high volumes of work and have a positive attitude to change

The team can facilitate a blended working (home and office) approach with some degree of flexibility around start and finish times.
