Amesbury, United Kingdom Aster Group Full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clerk of Works to join our Development Team. This role is an integral part of our development programme, ensuring the quality of Aster's new build homes during construction, at practical completion and the end of the defect's liability period.

**What you’ll be doing**

You will have regular site visits (preferably weekly or at least at key stages) to ensure that building work is being carried out in accordance with the statutory requirements, the specification and the conditions of the contract.

You will be inspecting and reporting on progress, quality of workmanship, passive fire stopping installations and key stage works. This will enable you to discuss with the project team any issues that require further attention or remediation.

You will be working with both internal and external teams including (but not limited to) the Senior Clerk of Works, Internal Agents and Project Managers and Surveyors. You will be expected to maintain and develop relationships with these parties as well as the Site Management team and External Agents.

**About you**
- Berkshire
- Wiltshire

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have access to transport for work purposes and you will be covering the areas as above.

**What’s in it for me**

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:

- Flexible working - whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business’ needs
- A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, virtual GP services, mental health training and a health cash plan
Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
- Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
- Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
- Enhanced leave
- We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives, and monthly and annual awards.
- HMRC mileage rate applicable to business travel.

Please use information provided in the advert and role profile to let us know why you’d be good for the job and the skills you can bring to the team.

We create an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and believe that creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do.
