Platt & Hill Ltd is a local manufacturing company, producing fillings for the upholstery and furniture industry.

Rate of Pay per hour: £9.50

Hours: 39

Shift to be arranged

**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Despatch Manager & the Despatch Supervisor, the Despatch Operative will be responsible for moving products around the department, loading and offloading of vehicles and stock control as part of a small team

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Move stock on trolleys from production to warehouse racking.
- Manual handling of bagged light Foam/Cushions/wadding products.
- Locate into racking and record locations.
- Book out of racking on picking lists and move to despatch bays.
- Complete Despatch paperwork on PC.
- Load onto truck.
- Needs accuracy when recording stock transactions.
- Needs to be able to work on own initiative.
- Needs flexible approach to overtime working (includes some weekends).

**You will need to have**:

- Good level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent attendance and time keeping

You should also be able to:

- Work as part of a team

Full Training will be given.

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Material Moving & Warehousing Occupation: 1 year (preferred)
