**Music Lecturer**

**Salary Range £23,072 - £28,432**

**Permanent post, 29.6 hours per week X 52 weeks per annum**

**We are looking for somebody who is passionate about Music to join our Higher Education, UC Sheffield family of dedicated teachers working together to unlock opportunities for aspiring musicians across Sheffield.**

From composing and recording music to live music production and performance, you will need good overall knowledge of both the historical and contemporary contexts within the music industry, and ideally be a multi - instrumentalist. You will be excited to work closely with a range of highly talented and professional people to ensure learners are fully supported throughout their time with us and to ensure that they achieve their goals.

**The role of Higher Education Music Lecturer is ideal if you**:

- Want a varied role where you are responsible for the delivery and management of our Level 4 - Level 6 courses.

**Day-to-day you will be responsible for**:

- Prepare for and deliver high quality sessions to student groups within the Music department, with clear intentions and well-defined outcomes.
- Manage student progress and achievement through the modules you deliver and manage.
- Evaluate students' work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.
- Take part in activities relating to recruitment of students (open evenings, interviews etc)
- Be an active member of staff teams, contributing to curriculum development, academic board meetings and course review.
- Participate in personal development, working to develop your own professional knowledge and skill set.
