**Job summary**:
We are looking for a passionate and solution focused individual to join our team of user researchers who are leading the way in providing customer insight and involvement in the designing, building, and delivering of our digital services for our millions of users.

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience, skills, and knowledge by being at the forefront of a major digital transformation project within Companies House. Your role would be to support the product delivery team in shaping our services to meet the everchanging demands of the UK’s business landscape. Building good working relationships is key and you would be expected to work collaboratively across different teams.

**Job description**:
The team of user researchers, who you would be joining, work in an open, iterative, and collaborative way in a multidisciplinary team.

It is important to be able to communicate effectively as you would be working closely with our interaction designers, product managers, performance analysts, developers, business analysts and other stakeholders and colleagues.

As a Junior User Researcher, you would be expected to:

- Work with more senior user researchers to plan, design and prepare user research activities.
- Carry out user research activities from recruiting participants, preparing discussion guides, and moderating research sessions.
- Work with colleagues to analyse research data and synthesise clear and actionable findings.
- Communicate user research findings to help the team develop a deep understanding of users and their needs.
- Contribute to the wider user research community

**Person specification**:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who:

- Has knowledge of user centred design and agile practices
- Understands basic techniques for analysis of research data and synthesis of findings
- Is able to present clear findings that colleagues can understand and use
- Is aware of the diversity of users and the need to make services accessible for everyone
- Is aware of how digital technology is changing user behaviours and how that may influence a users‘ life and work
- Has the ability to demonstrate an aptitude for creative problem solving and the ability to think on their feet
- Has awareness of inclusive research

The user researcher team are a part of the wider Product Delivery team and together we play a key role in the design, delivery, and management of our services within Companies House.
Our user researchers work with colleagues across our organisation to scope, design and carry out research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use the service.
