**There are three posts available, which are full time working 35 hours per week, and fixed term until 31 July 2024.**

The College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries is looking to recruit recent graduates to work in the purpose-built Fabrication Lab in the Marylebone Campus. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of academics, researchers and technologists in a Lab that comprises both fabrication and extensive digital capabilities, including CNC machining, robotics, digital modelling and simulation, digital capture and virtual and augmented reality technologies, as well as materials and environmental testing labs. The Fabrication Lab offers diverse, cutting-edge facilities dedicated to teaching, research, and innovation in architecture and the built environment, as well as an excellent working environment for the Lab staff.

We are looking for a recent graduate from one of the School of Architecture + Cities courses, either undergraduate or postgraduate.

You will need excellent skills in analogue and digital fabrication techniques, and experience in working in a design and built environment focused Lab. You will need experience of working with a range of materials and manufacturing processes and experience in a design and fabrication environment working with machine and hand tools, and/or working with software-driven equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC routers.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and development of the Lab and its equipment; instructing and training students and staff in the safe and proper use of the facilities; and facilitating and over-seeing Lab-Users’ manufacture and development of their digital and built work. Your role will include supporting the Lab’s research projects, enterprise activities, and the installation of exhibitions and events. You will be encouraged to develop new skills while working in the Lab and to assist with the expansion and innovation of the processes and techniques offered to Lab Users.
