We have an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse to join our specialist team in working with patients aged between 14 -65 experiencing first episode psychosis.

We are dynamic & highly specialist team, working with an interesting client group, where there’s an opportunity to significantly impact on an individuals well-being and functioning and long-term clinical outcomes.

The role involves specialist assessment & treatment of patients presenting with symptoms of psychosis. You would join a multi disciplinary team of nurses, CBT therapists, psychiatrists and clinical support workers. There is a wide range of experience and skills within the team and we are passionate about nurturing our staff to develop their skills.

**Main duties of the job**:
Excellent communication, report writing and assessment skills are essential for this post. We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality and evidence based care and willing to develop and initiate recovery focused groups. As part of the role there will be opportunities to participate in groups aimed at reducing cardiometabolic risk factors, such as the national trust group and the walking group. Applicants should have sound working knowledge of the current spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.

Ideally applicants should have some post registration experience and be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills needed to provide an outstanding service. However we would consider a band 5 nurse for a developmental role if able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the Early Intervention team standards and ethos of care. Awareness and understanding of the EIPS model is essential. Access to transport for work purposes is essential.
