Transport Planner

**Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Plan and coordinate the movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery.

Plan daily Radial routes through South West England for a fleet of 15 vehicles mainly doubled manned.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor transportation activities, track shipments, and resolve any issues or delays.
- Analyse data and generate reports on transportation performance and costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to improve processes.
- Keep up with Driver CPC qualification training - Plan other driver training periodically.
- Complete driver De-Brief - Any transport-based admin duties as required.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (Mandata TMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000 per year

- 9 hour shift Usually 09:00 - 18:00 (If covering Transport Manager 06:00 - 15:00)
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute to Wootton Basset
