**Would you be interested in supporting children and young people as a 1:1 tutor outside of mainstream schools?**

This Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) tutor role will be ideal if you are a qualified teacher, teaching assistant, SEN 1:1 and are looking for some flexible work.

**This SEMH tutor role involves**:

- Working with children and providing face to face support to children at their homes or a local area e.g., a local library.
- Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths and English or educational learning through play.
- Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning.
- Managing and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.

The location for this would vary dependent on the need of the pupil but would be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition. All pupils for this role however will be based in the Oxfordshire area which has extensive transport links by bus, tram, andtrain.

**What we are looking for in a SEMH tutor**:

- Able to plan and deliver engaging core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
- Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
- Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour.
- SEN experience - SEMH

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 09:00 -16:00 approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
