Leisure Assistant

**The Hogs Back Hotel** **and Spa** in Farnham, Surrey is looking for a **Leisure Assistant** to join their team, supporting guests, members and hotel residents.

High on a wooded ridge, the Hog’s Back Hotel’s distinctive façade has been a welcome sight for travellers on this road for generations.

Step inside and the accent is on classic comfort, from the stylish restaurant and bar to the 96 spacious, light-filled bedrooms. A high-spec spa and pool meanwhile invite relaxation - or invigoration in the Hog’s Back Leisure Club gym. The location could hardly be better. Historic Guildford and the Surrey Hills are on your doorstep, and some of the UK’s leading attractions are a short hop by car, from Legoland and royal Windsor to the thrills of Thorpe Park.

**Main Duties**:

- Assist with customer enquiries and ensure safe and enjoyable participation of activities.
- The set up and storage of all equipment used on site.
- Membership sales and retention
- Supporting guests with use of equipment, including poolside
- Liaising with colleagues, instructors and Hotel Managers
- Presentation of all services and classes where qualified, within the leisure club.
- Poolside supervision of users to ensure a safe environment is provided at all time
- General cleaning duties within the leisure club and surrounding areas and daily pool tests.
- Assist with deliveries of goods on site.
- Any other duties appropriate to the position in consultation with Senior/Duty Managers.

**Key requirements for the role**:

- Group exercise qualifications are desirable
- Experience of working in the leisure industry is beneficial
- You will need to be approachable, well presented and confident.
- Be able to provide a high standard of customer service and have good communication skills.
- Eager to learn and have a drive to succeed.

Due to the location of the Hotel you will require your own transport or live locally.
