Zest Recruitment area looking formTIG Welders for specialist on-site work for a major new project inAyrshire in conjunction with our client, one of theUK’s largest construction and engineering companies
Role Purpose:
- To manufacture, maintain and repair non mechanical plant & equipment where required.
- infrastructure work and steel structure assembly
**What you'll be doing**
As a Welder you will:
- Ensure relevant task briefings have been carried out prior to tasks undertaken;
- Report all near misses, hazards or observations via the hotline and to the Supervisor;
- Notify the Chargehand of any matters that affect the progress of works (including breakdowns & damages, etc.);
- Good understanding and knowledge of different processes and equipment;
- Be prepared to work overtime/flexible on breaks as required;
- Be capable to take on Chargehand responsibilities and duties on a temporary basis as and when required.
**Who we're looking for**
You will probably have the following:
- Basic English and Maths skills to attend College;
- Knowledge of using and clear understanding of work package plans, method statements, procedures, risk assessments and site specific rules (including lift plans);
- Interest in Fabrication;
- Driving licence;
- Slinger/Signaller CPCS card (all duties);
- Multi-skilled (for example Traffic Marshall, Manual Handling, etc.);
- Relevant manufacture/supplier training where required;
- Basic knowledge of piling techniques in all disciplines;
- Multi-skilled (for example Appointed Person, Lift Supervisor, etc.).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance
**Salary**: £26.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ayr, South Ayrshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Welding / Fabrication: 3 years (preferred)
- TIG welding: 1 year (preferred)
- On site work: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CSCS Gold card (preferred)
