Head of Technical

We are looking for a degree educated Technical Manager to oversee and manage all Technical and Quality compliance within a busy frozen food manufacturing site. You will work with Production, Technical, Quality, NPD and Hygiene teams, identifying process and product improvements. You will manage process technology projects, identify opportunities, solve day to day problems and deliver solutions for continuous improvement on site. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills. As a ' People person' you will manage, develop and lead your team as well and building relationships with suppliers and customers. As food and quality leader for the site you will ensure quality systems are compliant with retailer code of practice and external standards. Skills and experience:
Experience of working and building relationships with customers and retailers

Extensive experience of BRCGS version 9, gap analysis, HACCP, implementation of policies procedures and documentation. Leading customer, supplier and retailer audits along with QSM knowledge. Experience with retailer food safety systems and standards

Strong communicator:
Leadership skills, keen to develop, educate and drive change from within (you must be able to demonstrate how you have achieved this previously)

- Degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical management role in the food industry
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
