TQR are looking for two Commercial HGV Technicans to join our client in Chippenham.

Operating on an alternating AM / PM shift basis (AM - 6am-2:30pm, PM - 1:30pm-10pm)
Opportunities for overtime available after 8.5 hours daily & weekends
20 days' holiday, plus Bank Holidays.
£18.00 per hour

The role:
Reporting to the workshop Manager, you will join our existing team of Commercial HGV Technicians who service and maintain vehicles across the Southwest. You'll be working on a diverse range of modern trucks from manufacturers such as MAN, Scania, Volvo, DAF and Renault.

In this role, you will be responsible for the service, repair and maintenance of the fleet of HGV vehicles in a safe, efficient and economical manner. You will be required to:
Carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
Maintain vehicles to the highest standards of maintenance
MOT preparations.
Ensure all work is accurately documented
Attending roadside breakdowns.
Interpret instructions from the job card/defects sheets and comply with repair instructions
Actively maintain a clean & safe working environment at all times

What you'll need to join the team:
Level 3 Qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics
Experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry
IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential as a IRTEC course is available
You will be self-motivated and hardworking
A team player when working as part of our team
Using your initiative when working individually
Be able to problem solve and work well under pressure
Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Safe working practices
Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices
Experience in the Waste/Recycling industry would be an advantage
Attention to detail
Full UK Driving licence (HGV entitlement would be an advantage)
