Purchasing Assistant

This exciting role will suit an individual with a positive attitude who is IT savvy, passionate, responsible and self-motivated. The person needs to be good on phone, a team player and able ultimately to work without supervision. Full training will be given.

**Main purpose of the role**:
Working closely with the team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Placing purchase orders with known suppliers for materials and confirming delivery dates.

Chasing late and due deliveries.

Assisting other bid team with quotations / data import.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Purchasing, Buying or Supply Chain experience, would be preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors is preferable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude
- Adaptable
- Flexible
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to take direction
- Work as part of a team
- Ability to manage own workload whilst helping other teams out
- An understanding of inventory management etc.
- MRP experience
- Excellent communication, teamwork and pro-active and interpersonal skills
- Competent on IT systems

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus
