AAK Hull is located in the heart of an area enjoying significant redevelopment and investment.

The Port of Hull is being established as a world-class centre for renewable energy and manufacturing, and at AAK we feel proud to be part of this important industrial renaissance for Yorkshire and the UK.

At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UK's largest refinery for edible oils and fats. We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products.

**About the role**

AAK are seeking to appoint a Raw Materials Buyer, to join the team in Hull which reports directly to the Procurement Manager working closely with Internal Stakeholders to source, negotiate and procure, raw materials to meet the company's operational requirements in line with company objectives. Considering price, quality, and delivery, ensuring continuity of supply.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitoring of Stock Position and Sales Forecasts to determine Material Requirements; Use of company systems to retrieve and interpret information
- Conduct research on potential suppliers and vendors; monitor industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities, monitor and interpret market data.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, and agreement of standard and amended terms and conditionsIssue Contracts - input contracts into company systems, ensure compliance to company D&A.
- Cost Management - mitigation of cost increases, timely communication of future cost changes across the business and proactively driving down costs
- Contract review and supplier monitoring - document supplier review meetings, measure supplier performance, escalation and resolution of poor performance
- Support supplier audits
- Develop new concepts with the sales and customer innovation team

**About you**
- Have experience working in a similar buyers role.
- Degree qualified - Desirable
- CIP's Level 4 - Desirable
- A self motivated, self managing Individual with the ability to work with a good level of autonomy.
- Computer literate.
- Have strong passion for the role and drive to make change.
