Hire Desk Operative

**Hire Desk Operative Role**

Coinford Ltd is currently seeking to employ a Hire Desk Operative. The role would be working with Coinford Plant Ltd who are an established and expanding tool and plant hire company supplying plant and tools to Coinford Construction, a large well-respected groundwork and concrete frame contractor based in Burstow near Horley, Surrey.

The Hire Desk Operative ensures all orders including cross hires, off hires, exchanges are processed efficiently and effectively in accordance with client’s requests. To assist in the asset purchasing of Non-Mechanical and Mechanical plant. Ensuring all company policies and processes are adhered too.

Checking orders for consistency on prices. Creation of advice notes to allow asset disposal.

**Duties will include**:

- Taking mechanical plant and false/formwork orders from our site staff
- Processing yard picking lists
- Organising cross hire orders with outside suppliers
- Liaising with and chasing suppliers
- Administration of plant exchanges and off hiring plant as required
- Authorising hire invoices

**The ideal person will have**:

- Previous experience in the plant hire industry (essential)
- Some previous experience of purchasing plant consumables
- A sound knowledge of ground-working construction plant
- Be a good communicator
- Be familiar with using a PC
- Have some experience of plant hire software
- Work well under pressure
- Be able to meet deadlines
- Be able to communicate on all levels

**Experience**:

- Hire Desk Controller: 3 years (preferred)
- Construction Plant Hire: 1 year (preferred)
- Small Tools Hire: 1 year (preferred)
