**Salary: From £41,230 plus excellent benefits**

**Contract: Fixed term contract (Maternity cover - 12 months)**

**What we’re looking for...**

The role holder will have regular interactions with key internal stakeholders across the business as well as senior level external supplier contact.

**Your responsibilities will include...**

As Senior Buyer your responsibilities will include;
- To contribute to the formulation and operation of Company Procurement Strategy.
- Manage the entire Procurement process for all nominated areas of responsibility, including supplier selection, negotiation, evaluation, and contract recommendation, of material and service contracts, ensuring good quality, cost effective material and service supply.
- Manage, develop, and nurture the performance of other Procurement team members
- Investigate and implement potential new sources of supply across all categories of procurement responsibility, evaluating supplier capability, auditing supplier facilities and systems.
- Directly support the Head of Procurement in achieving specific budgetary targets set by the Board of Directors.
- Ensuring that the Department operates within the Professional Code of Practice of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

**What you’ll bring...**
- Relevant degree in Procurement, Finance, Business, or related field.
- CIPS certification or demonstrated progress toward certification.
- Extensive experience in direct material procurement within consumer goods or other relevant industries.
- Proven track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities and delivering results.
- Strong project management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial acumen and ability to keep abreast of market trends and emerging technologies.
