**Are you between 18- 25 years? ** **Would you like the opportunity to help other young people build resilience and achieve better mental health in Anglesey? Are you passionate about equality issues and want to ensure those who find it difficult to get their voice heard, are heard?**

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with our wider team to ensure we capture the voice of young people (age 11-25) in planning future services.

**Hours**: 37 hours per week (Flexible working will be considered for this role including the opportunity of part time hours/job share)

**Location**:This post is mainly covering Anglesey but will also include working in Gwynedd as and when required.

**Starting Salary**:£23,400

**Essential Requirements**:

- A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle due to the travel required as part of the role and the rural nature of some locations.
- The ability to communicate and present information orally and in writing in both Welsh and English.
- Must be between the age of 18-25 years (at the time of appointment)

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will work with the Programme Lead/Manager, Change Enablers, stakeholders and in collaboration with partner agencies, communities and young people of Gwynedd and Ynys Môn in co-developing systems change within cross cutting services which will be focussed around improving the resilience of young people.
- Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and young people and families (e. g. mental health, disadvantage, poverty, disability)
- Some experience of direct work with children and young people (this does not have to have been gained in a formal employment setting)
- The ability to listen to and communicate effectively with children and young people.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.

**Project Overview**:
**Meddwl Ymlaen/Mind our Futures - Gwynedd and Môn** is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an innovative **Early intervention Mental Health project**. Developed through a partnership approach between Barnardo's Cymru, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, GISDA, Gwynedd Youth Service, Y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored/The Outdoor Partnership and Ynys Môn Youth Services whose remit and primary goal is to empower young people to define and build their resilience to achieve a mentally healthy future.

Pay: £23,400.00-£28,600.00 per year
