This Academy Educator will deliver a range of clinical education at both clinical and support level depending on the individual’s skill set. The role will be involved with the delivery of the Trusts Apprenticeship programmes, PTS/ACA programmes and Statutory and Mandatory courses.

Reporting to the Lead Clinical Educator, the successful applicant will work within the Academy team and should also be confident in working independently.

The post requires an individual who has ideally had previous experience in delivering education and has strong organisational skills.

They should inspire people to want to expand their knowledge further, be interesting and memorable, and truly bring a topic to life for the learner. Dynamic education activities are pivotal to ensuring that our people feel empowered to fulfil their potential, and ultimately to ensure we can have a truly lasting impact on patient care for the people of Yorkshire.

They should inspire people to want to expand their educational horizons and be able to provide educational advice, guidance, support and direction. Ideally the applicant should have been active in education and training either within an Ambulance Service or in an educational role with an educational provider. They should demonstrate an understanding of the complexities in the day to day issues within an educational environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative, as is a real enthusiasm for delivering quality learning and development to others, in addition to the ability to coach students in a fast paced environment.

Applicants must be willing to travel across the whole YAS region as and when required and adopt a flexible approach to their working arrangement.

The Academy Educator will be responsible for the delivery of education to support all grades of staff within the Trust.

Responsible for the delivery of the Trust’s Corporate and Local induction process, including the delivery of formal presentations to large groups and dealing with multiple and complex queries.

Identify education and developmental needs of Trust staff and compile action plans as necessary.

Research, collate and promote resources for lifelong learning which can be utilised by staff and managers to support learning needs.

Ensure all awarding/accrediting bodies requirements are adhered to and met, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
