**Job Purpose Statement**

To deliver a friendly and professional service in a safe and efficient manner on and off company premises.

**Working hours for this position - Monday to Friday 07.30 - 17.00 and alternate Saturday's 08.00 - 12.00 = 44.5 hours per week.**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- ** **Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met**:

- Assist in the company stock
- Ensure that stock is replenished, rotated and merchandised
- Maintain the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness
- Build rapport, be polite and courteous to customers
- Be vigilant to prevent loss of product by theft etc
- Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately

**Experience working in a Yard at a Builders Merchants (essential)
- A positive & approachable attitude
- Yard experience in a similar industry
- Experience operating a Forklift
- Good product knowledge within the Industry
- Professionalism and who will promote and adhere to the company's value’s
- Good interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to approach customers
- Basic literacy & numeracy skills
