**An immediate vacancy for an Electrical Assembly Technician / Wire Person with proven experience of wiring within an Electro-Mechanical Assembly environment.**

**A great opportunity, working 37.5 hours over Monday - Thursday. Additional overtime is also available.**

**Our Opportunity**

As an Electrical Assembly Technician / Wire Person, you will a ssist in the development and production wiring for Electro Mechanical assemblies, Cabinets, Cable Harnesses, LRU’s (Line Replaceable Units) in line with required standards and Quality, through teamwork. Your work will be in accordance to engineering drawings and documents, within the allocated times and the required quality criteria.

You will regularly liaise with other teams such as Test, Procurement and other Engineering functions. Work being updated on Oracle.

Duties include being r esponsible for;
- On time and to quality manufacture of Electro Mechanical assemblies
- Escalate blockers and issues to Work cell Leader via SIM
- Liaising with ME and Engineering on technical issues
- Escalating Health and safety issues to Work cell Leader
- Accountable for COSHH and Calibration
- Ensuring 5S standards are met
- Liaising with Planning and Work cell leader to ensure familiarization with the plan

Your key performance indicators will be around;
- Quality; Ensuring any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated to the Inspector/QA rep
- Delivery; Focus on time delivery (OTD) as set by Planning and Work cell Leader, ensuring delivery is made on time and to plan
- Safety; Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate

**About You**

As an experienced Assembly Technician, with ideally working within the defence sector. As the role includes working within a small technical team, you will have excellent communication skills and a professional working manner.
- An understanding of Industry Standards (IPC620C, JSTD001)
- The ability to interpret a build pack (Drawings Wiring diagram etc) into a finished product, unaided
- The ability to use a range of manufacturing tooling, (Palma, Oracle)
- Good communication skills
- Well organised
- Experienced PC user MS word & Excel in particular
- Works well as part of a team

An additional 3 to 5 years practical Technician in a Military Production and Development environment or similar may negate the requirement for formal qualifications in exceptional cases.
