Camhs Crisis Practitioner

Greenwich, United Kingdom Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Following additional funding into our CAMHS Liaison and Crisis Team, we are excited to be expanding our staff team.

The crisis service provides integrated, high quality assessment, support and interventions in and out of hours. We work closely with the Adolescent teams and borough based clinical teams across the three boroughs, as well as with tier 4 (inpatient services) which are provided by the South London Partnership. The crisis team is multidisciplinary, and is supported by a team manager, consultant nurse, consultant clinical psychologist and a full time Consultant Psychiatrist

We have been developing and will shortly be mobilising a brief intervention pathway which will complement both our crisis assessments and existing interventions within borough CAMHS services. The brief intervention pathway will provide CYP across the three boroughs to access time limited interventions, which support the development of self-management/regulatory skills which will enable discharge to tier 2 services or where required the strategies to enable self-management whilst awaiting longer term intervention.

All clinicians within the pathway will provide both crisis assessment, follow up and interventions and will be supported via bespoke training opportunities, supervision and CPD events.
