The Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - CAMHS East Specialist Community Team based at Upton Hospital (Slough/RBWM Team). Berkshire CAMHS is an innovative and dynamic service, providing specialist community mental health care to a child population of approximately 300,000 across the county. Care is provided through several different specialist teams and pathways.

We are looking to appoint a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist, and the post is within a well-integrated multi-disciplinary Specialist Community Team covering East Berkshire locality.

This post is for the Slough/RBWM CAMHS team however working closely with Bracknell team (based at Wokingham Hospital). This role includes direct clinical work with children, young people and families presenting to CAMHS, under the supervision of qualified professionals, to support the work of the multi-disciplinary clinical team within the locality. Responsibilities include:
Teaching, training and supervision

In common with all clinical psychologists, to receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with professional practice guidelines.

To gain wider experience of professional psychology within the NHS over and above that provided within the principal service area where the post holder is employed.

To develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties

To contribute to the training and support of other staff in psychological care.

The Assistant Psychologist is expected to join the monthly training/audit/clinical governance/ research and peer supervision sessions.

Management, recruitment and service development

To assist in the design and implementation of service development projects within the service as required.

To attend meetings in which service developments are planned and discussed.

IT responsibilities (other than those used for research) should be added as an additional Key

**The “must haves” for this role**:
Have obtained an upper second class honours degree or higher in Psychology.
