Housekeeper / Cleaner

**FULLTIME or PARTTIME CLEANER/HOUSEKEEPER VACANCY**

Cleaner/housekeeper required for large family home/paying-guest house near Aboyne, Aberdeenshire
- Responsible for keeping the house clean and tidy
- Duties include: cleaning, occasional childcare (school-age), laundry, ironing, making beds, running errands, dog-sitting/walking, driving and other similar tasks to support the smooth running of the house
- Applicants should have initiative, common sense and a positive can-do attitude
- Reliability, flexibility and discretion are essential
- Childcare experience is preferable
- Driving license required
- Additional evening and weekend work will be required on occasions, by arrangement
- Career progression opportunities available within hospitality business
- Rate of pay between £12-15/hour
- Permanent, pensionable appointment on successful completion of probation period

A typical week might look like:
MONDAY
- Clean kitchen, bathrooms
- Family laundry
- Lay fires

TUESDAY
- Change beds
- Ironing
- Clean reception rooms

WEDNESDAY
- Clean kitchen
- Focus jobs such as polishing furniture, attic tidy, sorting storage rooms, moth prevention etc
- Prepare guest rooms (flowers, beds, linen)

THURSDAY
- Take children to school and walk dog
- Clean kitchen
- Tidy playroom

FRIDAY
- Clean service areas
- Ironing
- Clean family bedrooms

**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aboyne, AB34 5AE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- housekeeping: 1 year (preferred)
