**JOB TITLE: Events team waiting staff**

**Reporting to**:Operations Manager & Operations Supervisor

**Key accountabilities**:
**Daily Operations - **To be responsible for banqueting mise-on-place, which will include the following:

- polishing glassware, crockery & cutlery
- all banqueting tables are set correctly
- all station tables are prepared correctly
- ensuring correct levels of linen, crockery, cutlery, cruets & condiments are available throughout service
To be responsible for the cleanliness of all equipment used in the banqueting and ancillary areas

To ensure food order checks have been received in the kitchen

To assist in the service of drinks when instructed by C&B Manager/Operations Manager

To ensure tables are cleared and debris removed in the agreed manner

To have knowledge of food service techniques in order to serve all food correctly and to the required standard

To have complete knowledge of all menus, wine lists and specialities offered in the banqueting department and to be able to advise guests as necessary

To assist when required to take guests food orders

To carry out any other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate by a supervisor
- Meeting deadlines set by clients, hotel and other parties involved in holding a conference and/or event
- Ensuring that conference rooms are set up and broken down to the required standard in line with the Glenbervie House's Conference Standards where applicable.
- The service of guests in line with management / supervisory instruction
- Ensuring the departmental SOP Manual is being adhered to

**Customer Service**

To deal with all customer and guest comments or complaints and to pass on any relevant information to Management

To be polite & courteous to all guests and visitors to the hotel at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From £6.70 per hour
