**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team as a crucial member of our car battery distribution operations. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for independently operating your own van to sell and deliver car batteries to our valued customers. This is a full-time contract position that offers an opportunity to be a key contributor to our business growth.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate your own van equipped with car batteries to efficiently deliver products to customers within assigned routes and schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their specific battery needs and preferences.
- Identify and approach potential new customers to expand the client base and increase sales opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing product information.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment by carefully loading and unloading products from the delivery van.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and addressing minor issues to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Keep accurate records of daily deliveries, sales, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with the distribution team to optimize routes, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Uphold safety standards by adhering to traffic rules, vehicle regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and goals by actively participating in sales campaigns and promotions.
- Continuously monitor and report market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to improve our services and product offerings.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the automotive industry, is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ownership of a reliable and well-maintained delivery van suitable for transporting car batteries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurately recording sales and transactions.
- Knowledge of car batteries and their specifications is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn about our product offerings is essential.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy batteries as required (typically ranging from 40 to 70 pounds).
- Proficiency in using navigation tools and mobile apps for route optimization.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to meeting delivery deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and operational needs.
