Endoscopy Technical Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new post to join the Endoscopy Academy of Wales. The role of the endoscopy technical lead is to work within the Academy to support the provision of education and training to the entire multi-professional endoscopy community. The technical lead is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of the endoscopy skills labs across the hub and spokes of the Academy.

The technical lead will support and work in collaboration with the Academy clinical leads, professional manager, educators, faculty, hosting health boards and a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver a standardised, integrated, and high-quality training and education service.

The endoscopy technical lead is accountable to the Academy Professional Manager.

You will facilitate the programs teaching and hands on courses, utilisation of the simulation kit, endoscopy equipment and accessories, and build ex-vivo porcine models for training use.

You will assume a high degree of autonomy and responsibility for the oversight of the stock, consumables and upkeep of the endoscopy training suites and facilities and ensure these are run according to best practice guidelines and adhere to all health and safety guidance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
