Night Porter

We are looking to recruit a part time night porter/general assistant to join our team.

This is a part time night porter and part time general assistant position. Your role could involve work in all areas/departments creating an exciting varied working environment.

Duties for the Night Duty Porter include:

- Security and safety of the premises, conduct regular floor walks and security checks of fire exits and public areas.
- Assist with the restaurant setup so it is fully prepared and presentable for Breakfast guests
- Ensure the public areas are clean and tidy ready for the start of the day
- To be the person responsible for fire safety and implementing fire evacuation procedures if ever required during the night adhering to the Hotels Fire Evacuation Plan
- Action or report any health and safety issues found during the security rounds.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks during the night e.g. replacement of light bulbs in public areas.
- Assisting in the bar, serving drinks if needed
- Dealing with customers, including complaint handling and reply to all guests issues.
- Liaising with other departments.

As general assistant you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of food and drink service within our Burlington’s restaurant. On occasions you will be required to assist in the bar and lounge.
